In the draw held for the 32 competing nations in Moscow today, Nigeria and Argentina were drawn together in Group D.
1994 World Cup. They met again at the group stage three other times in 2002, 2010, 2014.
They will meet again in Russia next year.
Also in the group are Croatia and Iceland.
However, Nigeria will face Croatia in their opening match.
But some Nigerians have described the 2018 World Cup Group D as the “Group of Death”, expressing fears over the ability of the Nigerian team to survive the group, while others strongly insist that Nigeria will come out with maximum points and topping the group.
