ASYARF Partners UNESCO on Global Media Information and Literacy Day 2016 (PHOTOS)

The Asabe Shehu Yar’Adua Foundation (ASYARF) in conjunction with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Monday, November 1, 2016, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council Secretariat, 9a, Iyalla Street, Alausa-Ikeja, held a symposium on Global Media and Information Literacy Day, 2016, with the theme “Transforming Communities through Media and Information Literacy”.

Other topical issues discussed included; “Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Youth Identity”, “Media Independence, Human Rights”, “Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Health” as well as “Promoting Local Culture Through Media and Information Literacy”.

The Programme attracted participants across various cadre of the society, including was school children.

The Street Reporters captured in pictures the epoch event, being the first edition of the symposium, which held between 10a.m. and 4p.m.
