As the Nigerian military claims it has defeated the Islamic militants in the North Eastern Nigeria by destroying all its camps, the dreaded sect has detonated a bomb in Adamawa State.
TheStreetReporters.com learnt that a bomb blast occurred on Friday morning at Malkohi Internally Displaced Persons’ Camp (IDPs) in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Many people are feared dead from the attack.
The suspected bomb blast was reported at a warehouse of one of the IDP camps in the state.
The Police have already condoned the area.
Official casualty figures are not known.
However, the spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sani Datti, while confirming the incident, said he could not give details as the agency was busy evacuation people from the area.
