Horror: Council Chairman, 53 Others Killed By Boko Haram in Borno

In a renewed determination to take over Borno State, in North East of Nigeria, Boko Haram insurgents have launched fresh attacks at Askira/Uba, Biu and Hawul local government areas, resulting in the death of 54 persons, including a former council Chairman, who returned
to Askira/Uba barely one week ago.

TheStreetReporters.com recalls that this came less than 48 hours after the killing of about 150 Nigerians by the dreaded Islamic sect at
Kukawa and Monguno local government areas of the state.

It was gathered that the Saturday attacks led to the killing of some helpless residents on their farms, while some others were slaughtered on their lives at home.

Latest news reports from Borno State hast is that 29 people were killed on Friday when the terrorists attacked Mussa village in Askira Uba Local Government Area of the state.

Manu Kansila, a resident of Mussa was quoted by Daily Post as saying, the attackers crossed a river near Yimradi Gwandam, another village in the area.
