Crown Prince Uche Stephen Nwoko, the 18 year old son of one the surviving wives of late HRM Albert Uwadiegwu Nwoko III of Idumuje Ugboko kingdom.
His mother is from Idumuje Ugboko kingdom and he is the one born after his father was crowned king in 1981 on a proviso that the king would marry a daughter of his town to produce a heir apparent to the throne.
The tradition requires that the mother of the king must be a daughter of the town.
Some elders and traditionalists who know the historical background to Idumuje Ugboko being under a regency from 1955 to 1981, favour the claim that Uche Stephen Nwoko should be the next monarch of the town, even though his grand mother hailed from Ugbodu,
Some criminal minds tried to destroy him four years ago when they plannted a gun in his room I Idumuje Ugboko and invited the Police to search and get him arrested.
They succeeded as planned and he was detailed for three months. The intervention of his Uncle, Prince Ned Nwoko, a former federal law maker who aspired for the Governor and Delta north senatorial seats caused the Police to investigate the case.
It turned out to be a plot to scheme him out of contention for the crown by persons who saw him as a threat to their plan. Prince Uche Nwoko was very close to his late father.
On August 30 2016, his immediate younger sister who was 14 then was gang raped in the palace.
The rape victim was taken to St. Joseph Catholic Hospital Asaba where she received treatment for three weeks.
The girl was withdrawn from Federal Government college in Abakiliki, Ebonyi state and put in Onicha Ugbo Girls Secondary school in Delta state as a punishment.
On September 20, 2016, the former president of Idumuje Ugboko Development Union Chief Walter Eziashi wrote a petition of the plot to cover up act of felony by persons who claimed that the crime had been resolved by traditional means.
The rape victim and the palace guardian who was “implicated” were threatened with death through “natural means”, that is through diabolical means, if they squeal on the matter. The man was made to pay fine to atone for his crime.
The intervention of the former IUDU president brought the case to the attention of the International Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA), the Police investigation implicated three Princes who are facing trial in Asaba, Delta state.
Meanwhile, the father of the girl, the monarch was not aware of this crime.
The mother of the young Prince Uche Stephen Nwoko and the sister who was raped have been thrown out of the Palace.

So far, none of the persons standing trials or arrested by the Police in Delta state have been known to have any link with Prince Ned Nwoko, the alleged sponsor of the crisis in Idumuje Ugboko kingdom.
